Chapter 10 questions

1. What is unity as it applies to design.
Unity is a group of elements put together so that harmony can be met. Though to much Unity gets pretty boring and no one wants to look at that to long.

2. How can the grid be used as a layout tool?
The grid is used as a tool so that everything is aligned and it looks crisp.

3. How do a grid layout and a nongrid layout differ?
Basically the nongrid layout does not use the grid interface layout. In the book it says that it simulates things, so it does not look like a flat page.

4. Give an example of a metaphor used in a nongrid layout
they are common metaphors. Like on the computer your trash looks like a trash can.

open mike post

So ummm I really want to talk about computer graphics...either in movies and in games. Like how the rendering proses takes place. How long it takes. What kinda computer would you need to do that so on and so forth. Also it would really be cool to learn or talk about how to draw concept art. I am a huge fan of blizzard games, like Starcraft Diablo and Warcraft , warcraft 3 not the World of Warcraft. I have looked at a lot of the concept are for the new games Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 that are going to coming out sometime next year and I a noticed that there is a a certain style to it. and it is kinda the same for all concept are for games. I was just wonder how or what they used to draw it. That is pretty much all that i would like to talk about.

Color Hunt

This is a Triad Color combination. It is the skate park in Lindsborg and they colored it with yellow red and blue. I really don't like that they used this for a skate park though. It looks to childie.
Here is another example of using red yellow and blue. But those is a value Variation because the colors seem to be faded a little bit. I also love stack packs so the color scheme is awesome
Here is a Analogous Color scheme. It has red, red blue, and violet. It was a very beautiful flower. It also kinda works as a Monochromantic scheme because of the values of red in it.
This is a Split Complement. The yellow and the blue and violet. It is part of the pretty flower from one of the other pictures.
This is a painting for mountains at the park in Lindsborg. It has a Monochromatic, a little bit of Alternate Analogous color schemes to it. The monochromatic colors are the different values of blue in the picture. the alternate analogous colors is the blue green and violet in the mountains.

This is a painting in my house lol... but umm it is a very analogous paints with all the colors that are close to each other. Like the green and blues and everything in between them
